Another Route Description

This is the same route description just broken down.

The milage and elevation gain will be somewhere around 65-70 miles/10,000 feet of gain.


Start on Belcher Hill Trail to the 2nd bench at the very top.
Go right and continue on Belcher Hill until it intersects Rawhide.
Right on Rawhide.
Left on Rawhide.
Right on Longhorn.
Left on Whippletree.
Left on Belcher Hill.
Go through the parking lot.
Right on Frontage road. Pine Ridge Rd.
Straight across Hwy 93.
Right on Ford St.
Right on 10th St.
Left on Illinois St.
Cross the bridge.
Right on 11th St.
Left on Maple St.
Right on Birch St.
Follow this around the north side of the fields and locate the Chimney Gulch Trail.
Follow the singletrack around and through the tunnel under Hwy 6.
Continue on Chimney Gulch until the nature center.
Go Right on the road.
Follow this until it dead ends at Lookout Mtn. Rd.
Straight through to the Apex Trail then descend.
Ride through the parking lots and follow Hwy 40 heading south to the Matthew Winters park.
Enter Matthew Winters park.
Continue on the Red Rocks Trail.
Right onto the Morrison Slide Trail.
Climb to the top and follow the trail to the Morrison Slide/Red Rocks trail intersection.
Right on the Red Rocks Trail.
Cross the road.
Follow singletrack STAY RIGHT at the intersection.
Left at the road.
Follow all the way to the Trading Post.
Right at the Trading Post (Ship Rock Rd).
Left at the Hwy.
Right onto Hwy 8 at the light.
Right onto Forrest.
First right (Follow signs for Mount Falcon).
Go through the parking lot.
Start on the Castle Trail.
Left on the Meadow Trail.
Left onto Parmalee Trail.
Right onto Castle Trail.
Backtrack to Hwy 8.
Left onto Hwy 8 back to Morrison.
Right onto bike path at the Stoplight.
Follow bike path through Morrison to Bear Creek LP.
Right at the intersection and over bridge.
First left and through Skunk Hollow parking lot.
Cross the road and pick up the Mount Carbon Loop Trail towards the south side of the lake.
Right on the North Peak Trail.
Cross Morrison Rd. Head East.
Left onto Bear Creek Rd (At the Stoplight) Head North.
Cross Alemeda pick up the trail on the NW corner.
Right at the next intersection.
Left onto the John Hayden trail.
Climb the switchbacks on the John Hayden trail.
Left at the intersection.
Left onto the service road.
Straight onto singletrack at the first sharp turn.
Left at the intersection.
Then stay left at the next intersection.
Right at the next intersection.
Right onto the Bike path.
Right onto Rooney Rd.
Cross Colfax at the stoplight and pick up the bike path on the other side
Cross at the next light and stay on the bike path.
Right onto 19th Ave.
Left onto Elm St.
Left onto Maple St.
Cross the Bridge.
Right 10th St.
Left just after Ford St. onto bike path heading north.
Cross 7th Ave and stay on bike path.
Left at the intersection (Sharp left turn)
Right onto Ford St.
Right onto Hwy. 93
Right onto the North Table Mtn service road.
Right on Doubletrack
Descend the singletrack on the east side and follow this around to the north side
Climb back up on the NW side
Right on the doubletrack road by the antenna
Right onto service road. Descend.
Cross Hwy. 93
Back onto Pine Ridge Rd back to White Ranch
Finish White Ranch
